Defend democracy and civil liberties from executive overreach

The Trump administration's so-called "big beautiful bill" is harmful to women and the working class. We will no longer protect billionaires and corporate interests but demand that the average people are represented by this government, or we will remove it. The proposed cuts to small business grants disproportionately impact minority- and women-owned businesses, stifling economic opportunity. The targeting of colleges and universities, as well as law firms engaged in vital pro bono work, represents a chilling assault on free speech and due process. The mass deportations and detentions of student protesters and scholars are a grave violation of civil liberties. Revoking the security clearances of legal professionals is an egregious overreach meant to silence dissent. These unconstitutional acts demand a forceful response to uphold the rule of law. Robust congressional oversight and decisive legal challenges are crucial to protect our democratic principles. The administration's relentless attacks on fundamental rights and institutional safeguards pose an existential threat that cannot be ignored. Unwavering defense of our civil rights and liberties is imperative.
