Demand to Remove Section 224 from the 2026 Defense Bill

To: Rep. LaHood, Sen. Duckworth, Sen. Durbin

From: A constituent in Gibson City, IL

July 7

I am writing as a constituent to express my strong opposition to Section 224 of the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which deepens military collaboration with Israel. This provision is unacceptable, unconstitutional, and goes against the will of the American people. It binds the United States to a foreign government in a way that lacks transparency, public debate, and constitutional justification. No one wants this level of military integration with Israel. The American public has not consented to this partnership, and Congress is pushing forward without our approval. This is a dangerous overreach that undermines democratic principles and risks entangling the U.S. in conflicts without clear justification or oversight. I demand that you: 1 Publicly oppose Section 224 in the 2026 NDAA. 2 Vote to remove this section from the final bill. 3 Commit to transparency by ensuring all provisions of the NDAA are debated and approved with full public awareness. This provision sets a dangerous precedent for future military collaborations without proper constitutional and democratic safeguards. I urge you to act in the best interests of your constituents and the American people by rejecting this unconstitutional measure. Thank you for your attention to this critical issue. I look forward to your response and your commitment to protecting our constitutional rights and democratic values.
