I am writing to urge the immediate reopening of Global Entry and TSA PreCheck services. The continued suspension of these trusted traveler programs is an unacceptable punitive measure against law-abiding U.S. citizens and residents who rely on them for work, family travel, and economic productivity.
These programs are not luxuries—they are essential infrastructure in a modern, mobile economy. Thousands of business travelers, entrepreneurs, and families depend on expedited processing to conduct interstate and international commerce efficiently. Every day these services remain unavailable results in lost time, unnecessary costs, and diminished U.S. competitiveness abroad.
Global Entry and TSA PreCheck enhance—not undermine—national security by allowing trusted travelers to be screened through established, secure channels. Halting these programs not only harms citizens but also places an additional burden on already overextended security staff and screening systems.
I strongly urge your agency and oversight bodies to prioritize the reopening of Global Entry and TSA PreCheck immediately to restore fairness, protect economic activity, and reaffirm the government’s commitment to efficient and lawful travel. Our economy and citizens should not bear the cost of bureaucratic delay.
