Reject and publicly condemn Sebastian Gorka's new counter-terrorism strategy. This 16-page document doesn't make Americans safer — it uses the terrorism framework as a weapon against political opponents and targeted communities, and you should say so loudly.
The strategy lists "violent left-wing extremists, including anarchists and anti-fascists" as a top-tier threat alongside ISIS, while making zero mention of far-right or white supremacist violence — the most consistent driver of domestic political violence in recent years. It vows to use "all the tools constitutionally available" to map left-wing groups, identify their members, and "cripple them operationally." It singles out "radically pro-transgender" ideology for "neutralization." The Center for Constitutional Rights has already warned this strategy "overtly dehumanizes communities" and promotes policy that has "violated the constitution and international law." Colin Clarke of the Soufan Center called it counterproductive — transparent to adversaries and allies alike.
This isn't counter-terrorism. It's government-sponsored targeting of people based on their identity and political beliefs. Your constituents are watching to see whether their representatives will stand up to this or let it pass in silence.
