The new rule proposed by the Office of Management and Budget and 40+ agencies is a blatant and illegal power grab by the Trump administration that wants the executive branch alone to have unprecedented discretion and control over funding. This proposal puts essential services at risk in communities nationwide, allowing any president to weaponize federal grants for their own discriminatory political agenda. Please urge OMB to rescind its proposal to overhaul the Uniform Guidance.
