Thank you for blocking the DHS funding bill. Please do more. The 2 week funding for DHS is already too much and shows weakness. This is the moment of maximum leverage for the Democrats. Now is the moment to show strength and demand maximum consequences. Please do NOT let these criminals off the hook in any way. Please demand complete pause on any ICE funding and activity - that means no ICE, not 2 weeks and not with 'guardrails.' Please demand impeachment of Bondi, Noem and Trump. With the recent Epstein files release that is the only acceptable action. This administration operates completely outside of any reasonable norms. This is not the time for compromise or reaching across the aisle, it is the moment to show Republicans their actions will have severe and personal consequences. Impeachment is not an extreme action, it is completely justified in the circumstances. If Trump stays in office, what matters is that Democrats show there is still morality in our government and that you still care to fight. The stakes could not be higher for our country. In Elliot Richardson's resignation letter during the Saturday Night Massacre, he affirmed the principle that nobody in this country, including the President, is above the law. Your constituents, including me, are sorely disappointed that Democrats have barely ever challenged this administration's blatant disregard for the law, to say nothing of simple human decency. If Democrats don't act to challenge their utter corruption of justice, you are as bad as Republicans. Please show the bravery that could make the entire difference at this incredibly crucial time. We are not afraid of a government shutdown, we are afraid of losing our entire country. Please don't give any ground and don't rest until these criminals are removed from office.
