I want to know how the Gulf states’ sponsorships of Trump and his family impacted his decision to bomb Iran and start an unnecessary war. I can't really believe the billions of dollars at stake for Trimp are playing zero role and I want Congress to investigate. The Saudi government’s funds have invested $2 billion with Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner’s private equity firm and teamed up with him for a $55 billion purchase of a video game company. They also financed a $7 billion development deal in Saudi Arabia with the Trump organization. A member of the Emirati royal family invested $500 million in the Trump family cryptocurrency company. The country’s sovereign wealth fund also invested $200 million with Kushner’s firm. And finally, the government of Qatar gave Trump a $400 million jet and a Qatari investor also reportedly put hundreds of millions of dollars into Kushner. All of this can't help but to have influenced Trump. It has now been reported that Iran may not have had enriched uranium and even if they had, they could not have made a bomb for months maybe years. There was no imminent threat. So why start a war? I think financial gain by Trump and his family was the real reason. I not only want you to pass the War Powers Resolution ( S J Res 104 / H Con 38 ) and do whatever is possible to end this war, I also want you to speak up about Trump’s conflicts of interest. But more than that, please push for a full investigation into the President’s ties with these states and his administration’s consultations with them ahead of the war. His and his team’s financial ties should be fully exposed, and they should be held to account for them. Thank you.
