I am writing to ask for your support of HR82. I worked many years in the private sector and paid into Social Security prior to becoming a teacher/counselor. I earned my credits and to consider this a windfall is inappropriate. It is my money that I earned. Due to the so called windfall, I only get half of the social security that I am to receive. Please consider all of us in the same situation. We paid in at the full rate required and are now only getting half because of a career change to educate our society. Simply it is not fair. Thank you for your yes vote to make this fair to all of us in the “windfall” category.
