KOSA and conflict of interest

To: Sen. Ossoff, Sen. Warnock, Rep. Carter

From: A constituent in Hinesville, GA

May 13

I'm writing in regards to Senator Blumenthal's reintroduction of KOSA, and if a detail I learned about who is pushing for it to be passed immediately. Though it is regrettable that KOSA is being reintroduced during a time where Congress and Trump are deciding to be increasingly hostile to free speech and expression, it is not surprising. Senator Blumenthal is being urged to pass it due to a certain Baroness from Britain, one who has ties to Hollywood. She succeeded in passing the onerous Online Safety Act, and even pushed for California's AADC (age-appropriate designed content) Act, which was rightly ruled unconstitutional by the Ninth Circuit. Not only is this bill a major indicator of conflict of interest, it should die simply because a foreign actor is attempting to sway Senators Blackburn and Blumenthal in an attempt to enact their agenda. Baroness Kidron should not be allowed to dictate Internet policy in the US, nor should both senators get the benefit of having this bill reach the floor next week. Throw out KOSA.
