Protect Free Speech While Safeguarding Children Online

To: Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters

From: A constituent in Beulah, MI

February 24

I urge you to oppose the Kids Online Safety Act (KOSA) in its current form. While protecting children online is important, content should only be removed if it involves sexual activity with minors or real depictions of blood and serious harm. Vague definitions of “harmful content” risk over-censorship, chilling free speech, and suppressing legitimate expression. Please ensure any legislation protects children without infringing on constitutional rights or giving platforms unchecked power to remove lawful content.
