The Trump administration is threatening to withhold tens of millions of dollars in federal homeland security funds from states unless they adopt a sweeping set of election changes, according to multiple sources and internal documents obtained by CNN. This would clearly be election interference and illegal. Congress has the power of the purse. The Trump administration should NOT use allocated funding to coerce compliance with their nefarious anti-American wishes. Congress MUST act to prevent ANY and ALL efforts of the Trump administration from interfering with our elections.
