On a hot mic, Trump just said to Bukele that “home-growns are next” for deportation to El Salvador. I shouldn’t have to tell you how horrifying this is, that Trump is expecting to send US citizens he disapproves of to a foreign prison. I expect my electeds in New York to speak out about this, and present a detailed plan about protecting residents from the authoritarian whims of the federal government. New Yorkers should know that we are safe.
