Human rights violations in FL

To: Sen. Peters, Rep. Bergman, Sen. Slotkin

From: A constituent in Traverse City, MI

July 10

This is what's happening right now at "Alligator Alcatraz." The American people will not stand for these human rights violations. Congress must act urgently to oversee conditions and prevent cruel treatment. • No bathing for up to 4 days at a time. • One meal per day—often with maggots or bugs. • Mosquito swarms so bad they cause visible swelling. • 24/7 lighting, inducing sleep deprivation and psychosis. • No medication. No mental health support. • No showers. No toothbrushes. No clean clothes. • Bibles confiscated, prayer time restricted. • Toilets overflowing or broken. • Tents drenched in storms with no air circulation.
