Stop the cuts in HR1 and HR4

To: Sen. Markey, Sen. Warren

From: A verified voter in Boston, MA

July 1

I'm writing to thank the Senator for standing strong—and to urge them to continue visible opposition to both H.R. 1, the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” and H.R. 4, the Rescissions Act. I’m closely watching how the Senate is handling these bills, especially after the parliamentarian struck down some of the most extreme pieces of H.R. 1. That was the right call—but dangerous clauses still remain. H.R. 1 still includes deep cuts to SNAP and Medicaid, a permanent rollback of clean energy investments, and a cruel federal ban on transgender healthcare*. It is STILL stealing from the poor to give to the rich. H.R. 4 would eliminate over $1 billion in funding for public media and slash lifesaving global aid—at a time when truth, stability, and solidarity are more essential than ever. Please do everything in your power to stop H.R. 1 and H.R. 4 if they still contain these dangerous provisions when they reach the Senate floor. The people of Massachusetts support a free press, a clean environment, humane policies, and accountability — not censorship, pollution, hunger, and injustice. Thank you so much. I’ve got your back.
