The United States' military aid to Israel has enabled and sustained the illegal occupation of Palestinian territories, human rights abuses against civilians, and violation of international law. This most recent proposed arms sale of over 32,000 tank ammunition rounds will only further entrench the oppression of Palestinians and prolong the violence and instability in the region. As a constituent, I urge you to support this joint resolution to prohibit this arms deal with Israel. We must use all diplomatic and economic leverage to pressure Israel to end its violations of Palestinian rights, dismantle illegal settlements, and pursue a just and lasting peace based on equal rights and self-determination for all people. Continuing unconditional military aid to Israel while ignoring its egregious human rights record is contradictory to American values of democracy and human rights. Please stand on the right side of history and support this resolution disapproving of further arms transfers enabling Israel's oppressive policies.
