The recent Senate hearing with Dr. Anthony Fauci was an embarrassment, and I expect you to say so publicly. What unfolded wasn't oversight — it was a coordinated effort to rewrite COVID history by spreading claims that have already been debunked.
The specific lies told under oath deserve to be called out by name. Sen. Ron Johnson called COVID vaccines "experimental gene therapy" and implied they killed 82 million Americans — a claim so absurd it defies basic math. Sen. Rand Paul accused Fauci of causing hundreds of thousands of nursing home deaths when the actual toll was around 6,400, and multiple investigations found Fauci had no role in that policy whatsoever. Paul also falsely claimed Fauci denied the lab-leak theory was plausible — Fauci called it plausible repeatedly. These aren't differences of opinion. They are fabrications delivered on a national stage to shift blame from the Trump administration's pandemic failures onto a career public health official.
This kind of political theater corrodes public trust in science and in government. I want to know where you stand. Silence is a choice, and right now it looks like complicity. Speak up, correct the record, and push back on colleagues who are using Senate hearings as a platform for misinformation.
