The threat made by Pam Bondi against judges for properly executing their duties is unacceptable and undermines the rule of law and judicial independence. Firm action must be taken to uphold the integrity of the legal system and hold those who improperly threaten judges accountable for their actions. The independence of the judiciary is a cornerstone of democracy and anything that jeopardizes that principle represents a grave risk to the entire system of justice. An impartial investigation examining potential violations of judicial intimidation laws should be immediately launched.
