Do Not Cave to Republicans' Empty Promises. Hold the Line.

To: Sen. Durbin

From: A constituent in Lebanon, IL

November 9, 2025

Please do not let down your constituents yet again and cave to President Trump and Republicans. Allowing this shutdown to end with nothing gained after the American people have sent a clear message that fighting this push for fascism is a winning strategy would be the ultimate betrayal from you. Do your job, protect the people you represent, or find another job if you don't have the courage to do so.
