Today I had an oil delivery of 150 gallons to tide me over before funds from CT LIHEAP become available. I did not go with my regular oil company, instead chosing a company with a price of $4.98 a gallon instead of $5.37 that my regular oil company is charging today. People in CT and elsewhere that use heating oil are going to get clobbered this winter and analysts expect the price of oil to be extremely volatile with mostly upwards pressure on price. Democrats and the press should be screaming from the rooftops about this "kitchen table issue" of spiraling costs that should be the core message to get Democrats elected and Republicans losing seats in both the House and the Senate. Use your voices and speak long and lound on this key issue and have your staff and fellow Democrats do the same.
