Shutdown Fairness Act

To: Rep. Burchett, Sen. Blackburn, Sen. Hagerty

From: A constituent in Strawberry Plains, TN

November 7

The government shutdown has extended well into the realm of “ludicrous”. We are experiencing issues in air travel, SNAP funding, and countless other benefits due to poor negotiation and stubbornness. The democrats have put forth a very reasonable package to re-open the government while extending healthcare benefits to the millions that utilize marketplace plans. This would allow us to re-open while providing affordable premiums to vulnerable populations and continue negotiations for the next year. I encourage you to consider your constituents, given that many Tennesseans rely on these marketplace plans and benefits such as SNAP. Please vote yes on the Shutdown Fairness Act.
