The upcoming military parade on the 250th anniversary of the Continental Army's formation is a blatant attempt by the president to exploit the armed forces for personal aggrandizement and partisan political gain. This spectacle squanders taxpayer funds that could be better utilized to support our service members and strengthen national defense. Parading military might in this manner emulates the tactics of authoritarian regimes and further diminishes America's standing as a beacon of democracy on the global stage. We must reject such efforts to erode the principle of an apolitical military that serves the Constitution and all citizens equally, not the whims of any single leader. Preserving this crucial separation is vital to safeguarding our freedoms and civil society.
