Stand strong against DHS funding & for free speech, get kids out ICE detention

To: Sen. Duckworth, Sen. Durbin

February 18

I am heartbroken about Juan Nicolas, the 2 month old in the Dilley Detention Center who desperately needed medical aid. I understand there was not 1 single doctor at the facility that holds something like 3,000 people!!! The child was finally hospitalized last night and diagnosed with bronchitis but he is now back in detention!!! Please, please demand that ICE release every single child in detention right now, especially 2-month-old Juan Nicolas. ICE Detention Centers are not safe for children, not to mention that the Trump administration is violating the Flores Settlement by regularly keeping kids imprisoned in them for longer than 20 days. Second, please stay strong and do not cave until Republicans give you everything you want on ICE. Americans support you. ICE chaos and terror killed another person yesterday when someone fleeing them ran a red light and hit into another car with an innocent female bystander in it. She died in the hospital. This can’t continue. I ultimately want ICE defunded but right now, no DHS funding until ICE is reined in. Finally, I cant believe that CBS and the FCC are attacking free speech again! They forbid Stephen Colbert from airing an interview with James Talarico. I fully expect and demand that my representatives in Congress protect my and all Anericans' first amendment rights. I expect to read a strong condemnation of this attack from you! Thank you.
