Keep advanced technologies proprietary

To: Rep. Thanedar, Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin

From: A constituent in Lincoln Park, MI

November 23

I am writing to urge you to oppose any transfer of advanced U.S. military technology such as the F‑35 fighter jet and NVIDIA’s Blackwell AI chips to Saudi Arabia. Both of these technologies represent critical pillars of America’s national security and technological leadership. The F‑35 is our most advanced stealth fighter, designed to ensure U.S. and allied air superiority. The Blackwell chip is a breakthrough in artificial intelligence computing, with direct applications to defense, intelligence, and cybersecurity. Allowing Saudi Arabia to acquire these assets poses unacceptable risks: Saudi Arabia maintains deep ties with China in technology and defense. Any transfer of the F‑35 or Blackwell chips could result in indirect access for Beijing, undermining U.S. military advantages and accelerating China’s ability to counter our systems. If China gains insight into stealth technologies or next‑generation AI processors, it would erode America’s deterrence capabilities and compromise our ability to defend ourselves and our allies. Congress has the authority and responsibility to prevent such transfers. I urge you to use every legislative and oversight tool available. This includes resolutions of disapproval, funding restrictions, and export control measures to block these deals. Protecting America’s technological superiority and safeguarding our alliances must remain paramount.
