Do not allow the attack on Iran to be used as an excuse to derail dealing with ICE and CBP. Congress should quickly pass a DHS budget that omits ICE and CBP while supporting the Coast Guard, Secret Service, FEMA, TSA, etc. Then you must take the time to deal with reining in ICE and CBP. There is absolutely no reason for the paramilitary-style abuse meted out by these organizations that are supposed to enforce civil (not criminal) law. As things stand now, the difference between these paramilitary organizations and the Iranian police is simply one of degree. ICE and CBP have killed a small number of people compared to Iranian authorities, but both act outside of due process and constitutional law. Fix them!
