What an embarrassing display of ignorance and bullying we all just saw during the meeting this morning between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. This was a complete betrayal of longstanding American values. The absolutely cringeworthy behavior of Trump and Vance was an embarrassment to this country. Zelenskyy alone came out looking like a hero. He is a hero! He has stood firm against Putin’s invasion of his country, a sovereign nation. Putin has sucked all the wealth out of Russia leaving a weak and impoverished nation with a faltering economy. The economy of Russia is the size of the economy of far smaller Spain. (No disrespect to Spain) Russia—6.502 million square miles 143.8 million people Spain—195,379 square miles 48.35 million people Russia is not a prosperous nation. Why all the kowtowing to its leader, dictator, Vladimir Putin? Why is our president deferring to Putin? Putin is playing him like a fiddle. Trump may think he looked “tough” and “strong.” But he looked ridiculous. DJT being surrounded by suck ups and sycophants leaves him vulnerable to this kind of idiocy. We are all weaker, less safe and less prosperous.
