Today, 9/3, Israeli forces murdered a 14 year old boy and 17 year old girl in a targeted airstrike in Jenin in the occupied West Bank, and murdered another 8 people in line at a bakery waiting for bread in Jabalia refugee camp in Gaza. 5 journalists were injured by targeted gunfire from Israeli forces in Kafr Dan in the West Bank. The violence doesn't just end with the Israeli forces - earlier today Israeli settler-colonists destroyed olive trees and vandalized the water pipes in Naeem al-Hamamdeh's farm near Khirbet al-Fakhit in Masafer Yatta in the West Bank. This property damage doesn't just harm Naeem - this is just one in a series of escalating terrorist attacks Palestinians throughout the West Bank are facing. The desperately needed polio vaccination distribution for children in Gaza has experienced so many delays due to Israel's genocide in Gaza. The "temporary pauses" to allow children to be vaccinated are a joke. At one of the vaccination distribution sites, the al-Aqsa Hospital, Israeli forces immediately begin bombing the immediate area the moment the pause ends. Can you imagine traveling to the hospital with your children, queuing in line to get them vaccinated against polio, and the moment you leave you and your children face the threat of being imminently bombed? What are people supposed to do in these conditions? Israel has given no choices except death to Palestinians in Gaza. If you go to get your children vaccinated so they don't contract polio and die - you face death the moment you leave the vaccination site, if you decide to stay in the refugee tent encampment you've been forced to live in because your home was destroyed, Israeli forces will still bomb the area and you face the possibility of being burned in your tent alive. How much longer will you allow this to continue? I demand you do everything in your power to: – Hold Israel accountable to a permanent, immediate ceasefire and for their repeat violations of international law – Call for the immediate end of Israel’s occupation and apartheid - Support Palestinians in their fight for freedom and peace – Secure the immediate release and safety of all hostages, including Palestinians held by Israel in "military prisons", including those whose indefinite detention began prior to 10/7 – Permanently end all monetary, diplomatic, and military aid given to Israel and enforce U.S. laws like Leahy Law and the Arms Export Control Act – Resume full funding of UNRWA and allocate more funds to aid humanitarian efforts to rebuild Gaza, and provide Palestinians with the resources to survive and thrive – Immediately withdraw all U.S. troops, military assets, and all other assets deployed throughout the Middle East and cease all actions that further escalate a larger regional conflict - Void all anti-BDS laws and other laws that infringe on my right to freedom of speech to criticize any political ideology or country, and to use my money in ways that align with my values
