The 2026 White House Counterterrorism Strategy is a witch hunt, and I need you to say so publicly and fight it. The document explicitly targets groups with "radically pro-transgender ideology" for mapping, infiltration, and operational disruption by law enforcement. That is not counterterrorism. That is the government building a surveillance apparatus aimed at a minority group for holding political views. The strategy cites the death of Charlie Kirk as evidence of left-wing extremist violence, despite zero evidence linking the alleged perpetrator to any organized group. Meanwhile, Kirk's own organization bussed 350 people to January 6. The selective framing here is not subtle. Transgender people are normal people — not a national security threat — and a document that treats political support for trans rights as grounds for federal targeting should alarm every civil libertarian in this country regardless of party. The language about "mapping membership" and "crippling operationally" describes tools built for foreign terror networks, now aimed at Americans whose crime is their identity or their politics. Please use your platform and your vote to oppose this strategy, demand congressional oversight of how these CT powers are applied, and make clear that your constituents will not accept a government that treats being transgender as a precursor to terrorism.
