I am writing to express my outrage over reports that the executive branch created a settlement agreement transferring approximately $2 billion in taxpayer funds into an anti-weaponization fund that can then be distributed at its own discretion without meaningful oversight or congressional authorization.
This appears to be a blatant abuse of executive power and a misuse of taxpayer money. No administration should be allowed to redirect billions of dollars into politically connected or ideologically driven programs without transparency, accountability, or approval from Congress.
I urge you to take immediate action to hold the executive branch accountable. Congress must investigate this agreement, demand full disclosure of how the funds will be distributed, and pursue every available remedy — including litigation and legislation — to block or reverse this transfer of funds.
The American people deserve oversight, transparency, and respect for the constitutional separation of powers. Allowing this to stand would set a dangerous precedent for future administrations of either party.
Please act quickly and publicly on this issue.
