Hello, I am writing to voice my opposition to HR 8000, the END 7oh act. For myself and many others with chronic pain and opioid addiction, 7oh is a lifeline. It is not the "gas station heroin" it has been portrayed as, and is in fact incredibly safe. It does not carry the risk of overdose or respiratory depression that pharmaceutical and illicit opiods do. If 7oh is removed from the market, over one million consumers will be at risk of relapse or seek relief through more dangerous alternatives. I have chronic pain from an accident and have used 7oh responsibly for over 2 years, it has allowed me to live a more fulfilling life. I was once addicted to heroin and other illicit drugs, both kratom and 7oh have been crucial to my recovery and ability to continue working. With the current opioid epidemic, we should be exploring any possible alternatives, not eliminating access and hindering research with a schedule 1 designation. I urge you to vote against this bill and stand up for the right to make our own health decisions. Thank you for your time!
