Protect Community Integration Rightsin Michigan

To: Rep. Linting, Sen. Camilleri, Gov. Whitmer

From: A constituent in Riverview, MI

October 10

Following the recent Texas v. Kennedy ruling, I urge you to introduce legislation explicitly protecting the right of Michiganders with disabilities to live and receive services in the most integrated setting appropriate to their needs. Michigan must preserve and enforce the community integration protections established under Section 504, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Olmstead v. L.C. People with disabilities deserve the right to live in their communities, not face unnecessary institutionalization. Protect community integration rights in Michigan
