I am a constituent writing to demand immediate, aggressive legislative action to dismantle the digital and financial black markets that harbor and profit from child exploitation and predatory networks. For too long, social media platforms and law enforcement have relied on passive, automated AI screening tools that consistently fail. The internet is flooded with predatory networks hiding behind anonymous accounts and organized bot nets, and tech corporations continue to treat this crisis as a "glitch in the system" rather than an active, illicit market. We must attack the market infrastructure itself.
I urge you to sponsor and pass legislation that enforces a zero-tolerance policy across three critical choke points:
1 Financial and Cryptocurrency Interdiction: We must legally compel financial institutions and cryptocurrency exchanges to track, freeze, and expose the digital wallets and payment rails used to fund underground predatory marketplaces, permanently destroying their ability to monetize abuse.
2 Server Infrastructure and Domain Seizures: Congress must allocate increased, dedicated funding to joint international law enforcement task forces to aggressively track down, physically seize, and destroy the server hubs, hosting networks, and domain registries that allow these platforms to exist online.
3 Corporate Criminal and Financial Liability: We must pass legislation, such as the TAKE IT DOWN Act, to strip tech corporations of their legal shield if they fail to implement immediate, human-verified, cross-platform hardware bans for offenders. When tech executives face personal criminal liability and bankrupting corporate fines for allowing these networks to operate on their servers, they will finally prioritize public safety over algorithmic engagement.
The market supporting this exploitation must be completely torn down from the top down. I expect you to take a firm stance on this issue and protect our communities from digital exploitation. Thank you for your time and urgent attention to this matter.
