We are in a democracy with no king

To: Sen. Hagerty, Rep. Fleischmann, Sen. Blackburn

From: A verified voter in Oak Ridge, TN

February 19

This administration is attacking our democracy and acting against the will of the people. We need urgent action to protect voting rights and ensure free and fair elections. The President's recent actions, like declaring he alone can interpret laws, are outright unconstitutional power grabs that threaten our system of checks and balances. We cannot stand by as he consolidates control. Congress must act decisively to impeach and remove the President before he undermines our electoral process and right to vote. Historically, impeachment has been used to address abuse of power precisely like this. Trump is a direct threat to our republic. Failing to hold him accountable jeopardizes the integrity of our democracy. Protecting voting rights and using constitutional means to uphold the rule of law are essential to preserving our nation's values and institutions. I urge you to put country over party and take the necessary steps to safeguard our elections and constitutional order. Upholding your oath means removing this president before further damage is done. The American people are counting on you to fulfill your sworn duty.
