A $200 million ballroom construction project is an irresponsible and tone-deaf use of funds when many Americans are struggling with housing affordability. The administration should prioritize investments that directly improve the lives of everyday citizens, such as expanding affordable housing programs, rental assistance, and initiatives to address homelessness. Extravagant additions to the White House complex fail to serve the interests of the people and only further the disconnect between the ruling class and the harsh realities faced by working families nationwide. I urge you to reconsider this misguided endeavor and redirect resources towards substantive policies that uplift our most vulnerable communities and create equitable opportunities for all.
