Support term limits for members of Congress

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. Casey, Rep. Dean

From: A constituent in North Wales, PA

December 1

Congressional term limits are a proposed reform aimed at preventing career politicians from entrenching themselves in positions of power for extended periods. The idea is to enforce rotation and bring fresh perspectives into the legislative branch. Many citizens feel that long tenures lead to corruption, complacency, and an erosion of democratic accountability. Reasonable term limits, such as two terms for Senators and six terms for Representatives, could reinvigorate the legislative process and realign elected officials' priorities with the needs of their constituents rather than special interests or personal political ambitions. By cycling in new blood, Congress may better reflect the will of the people and stay attuned to evolving concerns. This measured approach to term limits merits serious consideration as a means to restore faith in government and ensure responsive representation.
