Newly-released provisions for the House version of the HHS appropriations bill were just released, and one of them pushes Trump’s anti-trans agenda even further. This would bar federal funding for any "social, psychological, behavioral, or medical intervention" to treat gender dysphoria. This could shutter entire hospital programs that serve transgender patients and, at minimum, severely disrupt care for adults who rely on federally funded healthcare services.
As your constituent, I insist that you not let this provision make it into the final bill. If you want my vote when next election comes, it is imperative that you protect transgender Americans when they are threatened nationwide. Do not throw them under the bus for the sake of “business as usual”.
