The resurgence of the neo-Nazi terrorist group "The Base" and its plans for a paramilitary training event in the United States is unacceptable. This group has a proven track record of involvement in assassination plots, mass shootings, and violent sabotage operations abroad. Its active recruitment of military veterans and open glorification of white supremacist ideologies poses a severe threat to public safety and national security. Despite the previous nationwide crackdown by the FBI that dismantled a significant portion of the group, The Base has now reorganized and is actively seeking to expand its ranks, emboldened by the perceived lack of prioritization in investigating far-right extremism. Their ability to operate openly, even advertising their planned gathering, indicates a sense of impunity. I urge you to take immediate and decisive action to investigate and prosecute The Base and other neo-Nazi and white supremacist terrorist organizations operating within our borders. Their violent ideologies and paramilitary activities cannot be tolerated in a free and democratic society. The safety and unity of our nation depend on a proactive stance against such hate-fueled extremism.
