I'm writing to ask that you oppose H.R. 9495, the bill that just passed in the House and is now making its way to the Senate. This bill, which purports to exist to oppose terrorism, would put all non-profits in danger of dissolution by political opposition, and would pose a severe danger to Americans' rights to free speech and peaceful protest. The bill requires no evidence to rescind non-profit status from organizations, and invites wild abuse by political opponents of non-profit causes.
