President Trump's proposal for the U.S. to take over the Gaza Strip and forcibly relocate nearly 2 million Palestinians is an outrageous violation of human rights and international law. This plan would amount to ethnic cleansing and cause immense suffering by displacing an entire population from their homeland. The right to self-determination is a fundamental principle that must be respected. Rather than imposing unilateral solutions, a just and lasting peace can only be achieved through negotiations between Israelis and Palestinians themselves, with the ultimate goal of establishing an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel. The U.S. should pursue policies that protect human rights, uphold international law, and bring the parties closer to a two-state solution based on mutual agreement and human dignity for all. Forced population transfers are unacceptable and will only perpetuate conflict, not resolve it.
