Condemn indiscriminate Israeli bombardment, pursue just resolution in Palestine

To: Sen. Stabenow, Sen. Peters, Rep. Dingell

From: A constituent in Ypsilanti, MI

June 26

The ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza have resulted in devastating loss of life and destruction. In the latest 24-hour period alone, 60 Palestinians have been killed and 140 injured according to reports from Gaza's Health Ministry. The level of destruction left behind by Israel's bombardment, particularly in the city of Beit Lahiya, is described as "defying imagination" by Gaza's Civil Defense. This escalating violence and disproportionate use of force against a densely populated civilian area is unacceptable and must be condemned. Immediate steps must be taken to end the indiscriminate targeting of civilians, establish an immediate ceasefire, and work towards a just and lasting resolution to the conflict that upholds the rights and dignity of all people. The continued oppression and dispossession of the Palestinian people cannot be allowed to continue.
