A hard NO to the billion dollar ballroom.
Does the GOP have no shame? Even to consider such flagrant, extravagant illegality brings our legislature into discredit.
A billion dollars for a ballroom, yes, a BALLROOM?!
How can you justify this when the president tore down the East Wing ILLEGALLY, did not get the required permission for the proposed new structure, and initially said costs would be covered by donations?(Such financing would have been illegal too).
How can you justify and FUND this vanity when funding for health care and nutrition has been axed? And when Trump has exploded the deficit to over a trillion?
It seems that Ballroom Republicans never studied the history of the French Revolution. Learn why "Let them eat cake" is bad policy.
Perhaps our representatives need to be reminded that their constituents do not enjoy the standard of health insurance that they get.
Per the New York Times, at least 20% of Affordable Care Act users are dropping their coverage. Already at least 5 million of the 24 million people covered last year have dropped their coverage. In Georgia? Enrollment has fallen by more than 1/3rd. (H/t to Robert Hubbell, Today's Edition May 6th)
Meanwhile 4.3 million Americans have been moved off SNAP. Not because of fraud, which is rare, but because of new obstacles to enrollment.
Have you kept track of the deaths caused globally by the illegal dismantling of USAID?
Please confront the false logic of claims that the WHPCD incident justifies a ballroom bunker. The event was not and had not been held at the White House. The White House had opted for a lower level of security clearance than advised or used in the past. If ballrooms are the answer to armed intruders then every school in the country needs one.
We the people say NO to appropriations that give a would-be king a ballroom instead of using OUR tax funds to serve us.
