ICE and related federal immigration enforcement operations have been involved in many use-of-force incidents, including fatal shootings in Minneapolis that have sparked protests and raised serious questions about oversight, transparency, and the protection of constitutional rights. This is not public safety — it reflects systemic abuse of power and the erosion of basic rights. As my elected representative, I expect leadership that prioritizes human life, constitutional protections, and accountability. Continued funding of ICE, without meaningful reform or restraint, contradicts those principles. I strongly urge you to take a clear stance against ICE funding and to support humane, lawful alternatives that uphold both public safety and civil liberties.
