Political violence in America has reached generational highs, and the cause is clear: decades of Republican policies that gutted the middle class while scapegoating women, minorities, and immigrants. I need you to champion legislation that reverses this dangerous trajectory.
The numbers tell the story. Since Reagan's 1981 tax cuts slashed rates on billionaires from 74% to nearly nothing, $80 trillion transferred from workers to the wealthy over 45 years. The middle class shrank from two-thirds of Americans to 43%. Over half of working Americans now live paycheck to paycheck. Meanwhile, men who once supported families alone watch their economic power vanish, and instead of blaming the corporations that froze wages and killed pensions, they're fed lies about who's responsible.
We need immediate action on three fronts. First, roll back the Reagan, Bush, and Trump tax cuts and restore 1980 rates when our national debt was under one trillion dollars. Second, pass legislation outlawing gerrymandering and strengthen anti-racism laws while redirecting the FBI from persecuting groups like the Southern Poverty Law Center to targeting actual racist organizations. Third, restore DEI programs into law and support redefining masculinity around competence and contribution rather than control.
The acceptance of assassination, the normalization of violence against women and minorities, the detention of 70,000 people including thousands of children in brutal conditions—these are the predictable results of policies that bled working families dry. Tell Americans the truth about who destroyed their economic security and fight to rebuild what was stolen.
