Putin's Puppet - Donald Trump

To: Rep. Clarke, Sen. Gillibrand, Sen. Schumer

From: A constituent in Brooklyn, NY

August 10

Trump is planning to meet fellow dictator Vladimir Putin on American would and divide up the Ukrainian land to end the war, of course without President Zelensky or other Ukrainian representation present. Putin ABSOLUTELY should NOT BE allowed on American soil. He is a wanted war criminal that should be held accountable for the atrocities committed in his war, including kidnapping Ukrainian children in addition to being the first European leader since Hitler to invade another European country to cease land. This goes against the principles of the UN charter. This goes against what the United States should represent as a beacon for democracy and the "leader of the free world." Of course this country has lost its ethics and principles under this regime, but I urger Congress to finally do the right thing here. We should be condemning this war and not treating Ukraine as a real estate deal. By all means we should be engaging in peace talks and ending the war, but that should simply be pressuring Russia and Putin to end hostilities and return all land taken back to Ukraine. Anything less than that will signal to Putin and other aggressors that might makes right and they can take what they want from smaller countries. Lessons learned in the 20th Century, with two world wars, have been forgotten and Trump is condoning this behavior. I urge you and the other leaders in Congress to not allow this meeting to take place in Alaska and to convince the Trump regime that the path to peace is to support Ukraine and President Zelensky based on democratic principles and the principles set forth by the UN.
