I am writing to express my deep concern about the recent actions of U.S. Senator Mike Lee, for his disgusting and shameful post on social media mocking the assassination of Melissa Hortman and her husband, as well as shooting and injuring John Hoffman and his wife. While I understand that you do not have direct authority over federal legislators, I urge you to use your voice and influence to advocate for accountability and integrity in public office. Recent reports highlight Senator Lee’s conduct as being out of step with the values and expectations of many Americans. I believe it is important for our leaders to uphold the highest standards of ethics and responsibility. I respectfully ask that you consider publicly addressing these concerns and supporting efforts to ensure that all elected officials serve the public interest above all else.
