I am outraged by the arrest of journalist Don Lemon by federal authorities. This is a blatant violation of the First Amendment and a chilling abuse of government power.
The United States does not arrest journalists for speech, protest, or reporting. When it happens anyway, it signals that dissent is now treated as a crime. That is authoritarian behavior, not constitutional government.
Your response matters. I expect you to publicly condemn this arrest, demand accountability from the agencies involved, and oppose any prosecution that criminalizes protected speech.
If you remain silent or attempt to justify this abuse, I will treat that silence as approval. I vote. I donate. I organize. And I will remember exactly who stood up for the Constitution and who did not.
Defend the First Amendment or do not expect my support again.
