Senator Collins, In August 2016 you penned an op-ed declaring that Trump was unfit for the presidency because of his character and values. You did not vote for candidate Trump, but you have now enabled him at every catastrophic turn, making no effective obstacle to his lawless and erratic course towards authoritarian rule. Since that op ed, Trump has fomented insurrection, stolen top secret documents and stashed them in a bathroom, lied incessantly, been convicted of a sexual crime, rape, usurped the powers of Congress, refused to see the laws faithfully executed, torn down the East Wing (illegally), put his name on the Kennedy Center (illegally), used US law enforcement and national guard to occupy and terrorise US cities, given aid and succour to our foe Putin and betrayed our allies, given orders to commit war crimes and genocide and committed war crimes-- and threatened genocide. How much is too much? Where will you draw the line? Where is YOUR decency? Where is your duty to the Constitution? Threatening genocide on Iran should be the last straw. Please return to Washington; urge Vance to use the 25th and state publicly that you will support removing Trump from office as soon as House impeachment articles reach the senate. History, not Trump, and not Leonard Leo, not Paul le Page, will judge how you meet this moment
