Dear Member of Congress, I am writing as a concerned constituent to urge you to uphold your oath of office to support and defend the Constitution of the United States. Recent public statements by Donald J. Trump continue to raise serious concerns about respect for constitutional processes and democratic norms. When any political figure suggests disregarding established election procedures or prioritizing partisan outcomes over constitutional integrity, it is not a matter of party preference—it is a matter of the rule of law. Our system depends on elected officials who are willing to place the Constitution above political loyalty. That includes ensuring that elections are conducted lawfully, transparently, and without pressure to alter outcomes for partisan gain. Any rhetoric that undermines this principle erodes public trust and weakens the foundation of our democracy. I am asking you to take a clear and principled stand: Publicly affirm that the Constitution—not any individual—must guide our elections and governance. Reject efforts, rhetoric, or policies that attempt to subvert lawful election processes. Hold members of your own party accountable when they promote unconstitutional ideas. Work to restore integrity, stability, and trust in our democratic institutions. This is also a moment for honest reflection within the Republican Party. There is a growing divide between traditional conservative principles—such as respect for the Constitution, rule of law, and limited government—and the direction of the MAGA movement. If these paths are no longer aligned, then clarity and accountability are necessary for the health of our political system. History will remember whether elected leaders chose courage or convenience in moments like this. I urge you to choose the Constitution.
