On October 19, federal agents conducted a raid at La Catedral Arena in Wilder, Idaho, deploying weapons and a helicopter to round up 75 people who have since been deported. The New York Times reported this raid nearly destroyed the community. Even in deep-red Idaho, residents who relied on Hispanic labor never imagined such operations would devastate their town. Use your appropriations power to establish clear accountability measures for ICE operations. The momentum for reform is building.
