On March 16, 2026, a federal judge blocked RFK Jr.‘s overhaul of the childhood vaccine schedule, ruling he violated federal law when he fired all 17 members of the CDC’s vaccine advisory committee and replaced them without legal vetting. The changes strip routine vaccination recommendations for flu, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, rotavirus, and RSV from the federal childhood schedule. There is no longer an independent advisory panel to reverse them. The American Academy of Pediatrics sued. The court ruled the government had “disregarded” scientific procedure and “undermined the integrity of its actions.” Our courts stepped in because Congress wouldn’t. Call for immediate congressional oversight of HHS. Demand RFK Jr. restore the legally required advisory process before he touches another federal health policy. Children’s health cannot depend entirely on litigation to survive this administration.
