Stand firm against the coordinated campaign to strip LGBTQ+ people of their rights. Support for same-sex marriage has dropped from 71% to 65% — not because Americans changed their minds, but because a well-funded religious far right has spent years deliberately shifting Republican opinion. Republican support for same-sex marriage collapsed 18 points in just a few years. That's not organic. That's a strategy.
The Alliance Defending Freedom has a $100 million war chest and an explicit plan to eliminate marriage equality. Ten states have already introduced resolutions calling on the Supreme Court to overturn Obergefell. Texas AG Ken Paxton has floated reintroducing sodomy laws. This was never just about transgender people — it never was. The same coalition is coming for every LGBTQ+ American, and the Gallup numbers prove their campaign is working on the Republican base.
This country spent decades building toward acceptance and legal protection for LGBTQ+ people. A loud, organized minority should not be allowed to dismantle that progress. Use your platform and your vote to block any effort to weaken marriage equality, restore the LGBTQ+ youth option on the 988 Lifeline, and push back publicly against this rollback. The majority of Americans still support these protections — represent them.
